Purpose: To ensure a safe, distraction-free environment where campers can fully engage in camp activities, interact with peers, and enjoy the camp day without the interference of personal technology devices.
Policy Overview: We highly recommend that all campers leave their technology devices at home. Our camp is not equipped to safeguard personal technology, and we cannot be held responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
Details:
- We recommend that all technology devices, including but not limited to cell phones, iPads, Apple Watches, tablets, and laptops, be left at home.
- Camp staff will not be responsible for the security or condition of any technology devices brought to camp. This includes loss, theft, or damage of the devices.
- If a camper brings a technology device, it must remain stored in their backpack at all times during camp, early drop, and extended day hours.
- Devices are not to be used during camp activities, free time, or any other part of the camp day.
- Campers may ask a staff member for permission to use their device to contact family members. Such usage should be brief and is only allowed upon approval by a staff member.
- Staff members have the authority to confiscate any technology devices that are being used without permission. Confiscated items will be returned to the camper at the end of the camp day. By sending a technology device to camp, parents acknowledge and accept that the camp is not responsible for any issues arising from the device being brought to camp.
